WELCOME TO 7TH GRADE SCIENCE
Encouragement
Please be prepared to work hard,be motivated, and always give your best! Be ready to keep yourself organized and be ready to explore the different ways science applies in our lives and the everyday world. Mrs.Smith I welcome all the new 7th grade students to Science this year. It may be a challenging an unknown year, however, I know that we will learn a lot and have a lot of fun doing it together. I am so proud to make a difference in the district where I am alumnus. I have taught at both the elementary building and at the junior high. I have taught fifth through eighth grade in various subjects such as: Math, Science, Health, Language Arts, and Social Studies. Therefore, I feel I have a pretty strong background in the junior high department and a nice bridge between the two buildings. On a personal note, I have been married to my wonderful husband for twenty-eight years, and have two wonderful children, ages twenty-four and twenty-one. My husband and I reside in Columbiana, Ohio. My husband is a General manager of a company called Ceram Fab in East Palestine. Our son, Cooper, graduated from YSU last spring and took a job as an International Marketing Coordinator at a company called Brisk Heat in Columbus, Ohio. Our daughter, Chloe, is attending her fourth year of college and transferred to OSU and is living with her brother and working as a waitress. We love to travel to the beach, spend time with our children, family, friends, and our dog lovers. I taught 6th grade Science for ten years and 8th grade Science for two years of my career and this will be my fourth year teaching 7th grade Science. I am very excited to start the new school year and for the opportunity to meet the new 2022-2023 incoming 7th grade students! My wish for the 7th grade students would be to enter my classroom with a positive and energetic attitude to learn. My goal is to not only educate them to the best of my ability but to guide them to pay forward kindness and to always feel safe in the environment that I warmly provide them. “The art and science of asking questions is the source of all knowledge.” – Thomas Berger |
